10x7.5m Installation at Kilthomas Woodland Yurt Glamping, Stretch Tent Wexford
We recently completed a new 10x7.5m stretch tent installation at Kilthomas, an exciting woodland yurt retreat in Ferns, Co. Wexford.
Set amongst woodland on an organic family farm, Kilthomas has been designed as a peaceful countryside escape where guests can stay in luxury ensuite yurts and enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Our stretch tent will become part of that outdoor experience, providing a dedicated covered space for BBQs, functions and guest gatherings.
For this installation we used full wooden poles, helping the stretch tent blend naturally into the woodland surroundings and complement the handcrafted yurts already positioned throughout the site.
Creating a Covered Outdoor Space That Belongs in the Landscape
One of the most important considerations with this installation was the setting.
Kilthomas isn't a conventional hotel or event venue. The accommodation sits amongst trees and countryside, so the new covered area needed to feel like a natural extension of the retreat rather than a structure that dominated its surroundings.
The 10x7.5m stretch tent was installed using full wooden support poles, giving the structure a softer, more natural appearance that works beautifully alongside the woodland and timber elements throughout the site.
The result is a practical outdoor hospitality space that still maintains the character and atmosphere of the location.
